Detox & Weight Loss Recipe 1: Green Smoothie

The name says it all. All your greens such as spinach, kale and lettuce assist with detoxification and they consist of vital vitamins that we require on a daily basis. These vegetables are packed with iron, calcium and much more.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1 banana, chopped
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 cup spinach or kale
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A few ice cubes

Method:

  1. Combine the lettuce, spinach or kale and place into a blender. Blend these ingredients until they are well combined.
  2. Add the remainder of the ingredients into the blender and blend on high until the mixture is nice and smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a serving glass and add the ice cubes.

This recipe also consists of other ingredients, which are not only healthy but give it a pleasant and appealing taste. The apple, cinnamon, banana and coconut water enhances this smoothie. So you can enjoy this smoothie and still detox at the same time.
